There are miles of State Forests and Parks and the mountains of Fayette County offer the most spectacular fall beauty.  Wildlife is abundant in the mountain areas and you won't be suprised to see a deer, bear or wild turkey while driving through.  Ohiopyle State Park offers over 28 miles of hiking and biking trails along the Youghiogheny River Trail.  Ohiopyle PA was voted the #4 best place to build a log home by Log Home Living Magazine!

History buffs will love the area!  Some of the landmarks you won't want to miss are the George C Marshall Memorial Plaza,  Fort Necessity, French and Indian War sites, Jumonville, Wharton Furnace, Friendship Hill, Searights Tollhouse and many mansions in Uniontown that were originally built by Coal Barons.  In addition, there are two homes designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob which are within a short drive of each other. 

Golf enthusiasts have many choices including Nemacolin Woodlands Resort which recieved a 4.5 star rating from Golf Digest magazine for Best Places to Play".

Ski Resorts that are in or near Fayette County include Seven Springs, Mystic Mountain, Hidden Valley, The Springs and Wisp.
